Can it be used to plug an electric toothbrush?

Hello, thanks for the question. Possibly, but we cannot guarantee that it would - the shaver socket supplied with this unit is designed for standard shaver plugs and may not be suitable for other devices such as electric toothbrushes.

I have an old dual light/shaver socket over my mirror that needs replacing. It is 420cm long with the 2 fixing screws 120 cm from the left and 140cm from the right end. Would this unit be a suitable replacement?

Hello
do you mean mm?
If so the closest we would have is the
Eterna White Dual Voltage IP44 Bathroom Shaver Light with Shaver Socket which is 390mm in length or the
KnightsBridge White Dual Voltage IP20 Bathroom Shaver Light with Shaver which is 490mm in length
thanks

A note says that the shaver socket works with the unit on. Does that mean the light has to be on?
Electrical World Replies:
|
Hello
The shaver socket is hard wired so this means there will be a flow constantly but Please note the light will not work unless
the diffuser is fitted.
Thanks

I need a replacement shaver socket/light unit with mounting holes 214mm apart. What are the mounting hole dimensions for this? Thanks
Electrical World Replies:

Hello, This light has 210mm centres between mounting holes so its very close and should work if you angle the screws a few mm outwards. Kind regards

On which side does the wiring enter the light from the rear and how is the front removed?
I need to replace a light but the wires from the wall are on the left, but this light has the shaver plug & pull switch on the right hand side so presumably the wiring needs to enter on this side, so would not look right if turned round.

Hello Colin, we have added an image of the back of the product, showing the dimensions and the location of the cable entry, to the listing for this product. You can see this here: https://www.electricalworld.com/en/Eterna-LED-Dual-Voltage-Shaver-Socket/m-3343.aspx - thank you for your enquiry.
