You have selected the United Kingdom as your destination country. We aim for excellent customer satisfaction and do everything to ensure that shipping costs are as transparent and as easy to understand as possible.

As such, only a single postage charge will ever apply to any size basket. Even if we split your order into a number of different packages so that your items can get to you faster, then you'll only be charged the amount that was originally quoted to you at the time you placed your order.

Our main aim is to get your items to you as fast as possible, with full transparency, security and convenience. We will select the best courier for your parcel size and delivery needs from our range of trusted couriers including DPD. Royal Mail, ParcelForce, Evri and Fedex  - always using tracked services. Exact delivery times and costs are outlined in the table below.

Estimated Dispatch and Delivery Times:

  • All 'In Stock' orders that are received by Electrical World before 2pm GMT, placed online or ordered by telephone will be dispatched the same day with the service of yor choice.
  • Any 'In Stock' orders received after 2pm GMT or during the weekend will be dispatched the following working day.
  • Items that show 'Dispatches in X days' are stored in our overflow warehousing facilities. It takes us the X days specified for us to move the item to our main stock location and then dispatch as normal. Therefore your total delivery time on these items will be the 'Dispatches in X days' + the X days specified on the shipping service selected. By way of example, when you order an item that displays, 'Dispatches in 1-2 days' and you choose  'Express 1-2 day delivery' as your delivery method, this will take a total of 2-4 days to arrive at your door.
  • For 'Backorder' or 'Preorder' items, the same logic applies. These will take the X days specified for us to bring into stock and will then be dispatched with the service of your choice.
