I am interested in your cancam. I am considering using it to detect vehicle "movement" coming into my extremely long driveway. Does it have to have heat to activate the IR day or night? Or will any "movement" trigger the video capture? What is the delay time from motion detected to video record, and same for still capture? What is the duration of video recording in seconds? Is the case lockable to prevent someone simply removing the sd card? What is the purpose of the IR timeout mode....ie programable sleep duration? If I want it to detect ANY movement, vehicle, person, wildlife etc would I not want it to consistently record video as long as movement remains present? And finally, do you ship to US?

Hello, thanks for your questions. The Passive Infra Red (PIR) detector will start the video recording so if located in a good position a vehicle (or anythiing else which moves) should start it recording. The video duration is factory set for 10 seconds immediate on activation of the PIR but this is programmable within the range 5 seconds to 5 minutes. The case isn't lockable but we would suggest trying to hide the unit. A lot of people would use this equipment for covert work. The timeout PIR mode is a feature designed to save the battery in a case were a lot of activations might occur. The sleep duration is a similar idea to save battery. For example, if you were looking to put this near a main highway with a lots of traffic / vehicles you might want to activate these features. Hopefully I have answered your questions ok. You should find our shipping rates to the US competitive (and fast) :)
