The 3183A Arctic grade cables are manufactured in accordance with BS6004 and are designed to withstand severe external temperatures. These Arctic PVC cables, insulated and sheathed in a polymer designed to remain flexible at temperatures as low as -40° Celsius, are particularly suitable for outdoor applications and for use where flexibility is required at sub-zero temperatures. At room temperature, the 3183 Arctic grade cable is very flexible (leading to them being referred to as Arctic flexible cable, or Arctic flex cable), offering some of the characteristics usually found in elastomeric cables.
