I have a small shop and in cold weather the cold seems to come through our automatic door . Would this heater solve this problem? the automatic door is a single leaf door approx 1.8 meters wide.

This should work just fine as long as you can keep your mounting height between 1.8 and 2.3 meters. If your mounting height is a little bit higher because your door is quite wide i would suggest our 4.5 kw version - type Dimplex AC45N into the search bar.

Hi I'm looking to see if this heater can be mounted over a reception area? Does it plug in or does it have to be wired?

We would recommend hard wiring this heater using a fused switched spur but there is no reason why it could not be put on a plug as it is only 3kW. If you are going to put this on a plug you will need a length of flexible cable and a suitable plug - all of which we can supply. Thank you for your enquiry.

Hi, assuming that the door is more than 2 feet (600mm) away from a water source and the area is sufficiently ventilated for steam/damp air this heater will do the job. I'm looking at options to heat a kitchen where there is no wall space. I've come across this and also seen plinth heaters. Would this product heat up a kitchen or is it more designed to stop heat escaping rather than heating a room?

Hello Maryam, this product is intended for wall mounting - the most usual position is above a door. The downflow fan will blow heated air into the room. A 3kW heater would be adequate for all but the very largest domestic kitchens. Thank you for your enquiry.
