Dimplex 2Kw Oil Free Portable Column Heater with Electronic Timer   £109.60

Ordered three of these for our large high ceiling studio, after having gone through 4 fan based space heaters (2kw & 3kw) both pairs of which only really lasted 1 or 2 years each before failure. We have one old oil filled radiator which is quite heavy and now emits a horrible pong which causes headaches.

After much reading trying to find something reasonably priced, economical to run and will actually work, I decided to go with these latest oil-free heaters, and I am not disappointed. They are quite light so very easy to handle, warm up quickly and have a programmable 24-hour timer built in. So far they are only on less than half power and we are working in our t-shirts, which is great. They are silent, therefore quieter than the blow heaters which on reflection were rubbish; noisy, took ages to warm up, the elements were not that warm, and so had to run almost all day long.

When delivered, we were sent one heater without a timer, but a call to Electrical Europe quickly sorted a replacement within 2 days, so all was well. I would recommend this store and will buy from them again.
