Burglar Intruder Alarm Cable
Our Security Cable range is ideal for wiring both domestic and commercial Intruder Alarm systems as well as other low voltage applications. It is commonly used for inter-connecting door and window sensors, motion sensors, smoke detectors, keypads and control panels.

We stock both screened and unscreened versions:
Screened is typically used for interconnecting wiring in intruder alarm systems in buildings where RF interface or spurious signals may lead to false alarms or erosion of data. An earth drain wire is present along the entire length of the cable providing shield continuity and a convenient point at the control panel for earthing.
Unscreened is the most commonly used intruder alarm cable and is used in both domestic and commercial buildings.

CCTV Cable
CCTV video signals are often transmitted using coaxial cable. Coaxial cable is designed to transmit the complete video frequency range with minimum distortion or attenuation, making it an excellent choice for CCTV.

These cables are used to transmit high frequency signals and keep them from both electromagnetic interference and outside sources. It is manufactured by using two types of conductors that have the same coaxial orientation however, each conductor is set apart from the other by an insulated covering.
In the middle for the first conductor which includes wire, the second conductor can be a mesh with a metal composition, braid or foil. The entire cable is then bound together by another insulating covering which helps protect against possible corrosive elements such as water etc.
