the early model only had a one way switch on the controller , but all the recent batches have a two way switch .
This reversing feature is more for releasing the load slightly ( for example if the item being loaded was catching on something during loading )
It is not really for fully winding out the cable as firstly it would take the same length of time as winding the cable in ( 5 min approx. ) and unless tension were kept on the cable it would jam inside the casing quite quickly , which may then result in the winch needing to be dismantled to correctly rewind the rope .
The correct way to unwind the cable when not under load , is to wind in the black adjuster knob fully in ,which disengages the gearwheel allowing the wire rope to be manually pulled out quicker

I would like to fit a wireless controller. The unit has four leads , positive , negative , white lead and yellow lead . How do I connect this to my winch . The wireless controller is a Chinese made product model CJ44 . CHEERS , MIKE
