Good morning,
I have a SDF 100 ceiling fan that I want to replace.
Would the SDF100TB be a direct replacement, if not, what fan would I need to order.
Thank you.
Regards,
Steve.

Hello, The sdf100 is typically a standard non-timer version. Does your fan run on after you turn off the light or anything that might indicate otherwise?

How do I know which one to buy.
It say silavent in it that’s all I know
Electrical World Replies:

Hello, The following characteristics will show you which fan you have. Standard fans usually switch on and off there is no overrun timer. Timer fans will run for a set time period once the light is switched off. The other main choice is back draught shutter which is designed if you use the fan wall-mounted and require a means to stop wind /air blowing back through your fan. This is a great option if the wall its on is exposed and gets a lot of wind. thanks

I need a replacement for this fan, ideally the same fixings, certainly the same cent hole size. Ideally I would like one that prevents air blowing through from the outside. Does this fan meet those requirements? I don’t appear to able to post the picture in here

Hello, you will need this type of fan : https://www.electricalworld.com/en/Silavent-4-Axial-Extractor-Bathroom-Wall-Ceiling-Fan-Backdraught-Shutter-and-Timer/m-1509.aspx

Would this product be a direct replacement for Silavent ptn mf001
Electrical World Replies:

Hello, MF001 is an old Silavent serial number, not a part number, which doesn't tell us what model it is. If you can get the part number, we will be able to help further, thanks.
