The trap has a vey strong spring so watch your fingers.The rat has to stand on a platform to reach the bait if you set it properly (peanut butter, chocolate or bits of snickers(keep some for yourself))work well.
Bought 4, traps are very sensitive and powerfull. Problem was the following morning after putting them out, 2 had dissapeared of the face of the earth ???
I bought a couple of these traps and they seemed to catch the rats fairly easily, although a couple of rats did get out of the traps, but that's to be expected. They are powerful and really sturdy with the bonus of holes to attach wire to to keep the trap in its setting. Again a fast delivery and great service
