This 13A passive RCD switched double socket is ideal for replacing existing double sockets in favor of an RCD enabled model to protect your circuits from dangerous overloads and power shorts.

This RCD works by detecting small changes in the current supplied to the socket, if the difference in alternating current increases above the 10mA threshold the device will cut power to the sockets attached appliances, as this difference usially indicates a power surge, overload, short, or other dangerous electrical event.

This model contains a Mechanical Latched type RCD – meaning you wont need need to reset the device after power loss.
