This is a well designed and built optical smoke detector that was easy to install and integrate into the existing intruder alarm. My only quibble is the installation instructions which were minimal and a bit confusing.

Hi, I have a heat alarm installed. There is a red light flashing from time to time. What would be the reason for that? Do I press the test button? Do I have to change the battery? I should add that the alarms go off unnecessarily also in the middle of the night, so keen to get it sorted. Thanks
