Can this fire be recessed into a hole in the wall so it sits flush?
Electrical World Replies:

Hello Sue, the airflow design in this heater means its generally not suited to recessed fitting. However, the type of heater shown here is designed to be recessed: https://www.electricalworld.com/en/Dimplex-Bach-Wall-Mounted-Electric-Fire---Black/m-3986.aspx - thank you for your enquiry.

Does this make any noise?
Electrical World Replies:
|
Hello, when using the flame-effect only there will be no noise. When the heater is running there will be a very low level of noise from the fan - this is somewhat subjective but the noise would be almost inaudible. Thank you for your enquiry.

can this fire be turned on by a timer switch ?
Electrical World Replies:
|
Hello Tommy, it is recommended that (in order to avoid a hazard) this electric fire should not be supplied through an external switching device. This is in case the thermal cutout resets. Thank you for your enquiry.

asks
Hello can this be mounted on to a stud/division wall or should it be mounted on a structural/solid wall
Electrical World Replies:
|
Hello Catherine, the wall where the appliance is to be installed must be capable of long-term support of the total load of the appliance, so it doesn't have to be installed on a solid wall, as long as the wall is structurally sound and of a material capable of withstanding moderate heat.
In our product description there is a link to a user manual and page 4 has relevant information. You can also find the user manual here: https://www.electricalworld.com/Images/Manuals/FocalPoint-Charmouth-Electric-Fire-Manual.pdf - thank you for your enquiry.
