Hello
It is recommended that the fans be connected into the lighting circuit, with double pole
(3mm) isolation provided before the room light switch and suitably fused, in accordance
with current IEE Regulations.
Thanks

Hi I have a silavent with timer but needs replacing. I am thinking of this product as seeems similar but with a back fraught. Mine is wall mounted so no problem there but is it the same internally with the wire position for a straight swap or owould I need to stick to the other silavent with timer.

Hello Mark, if you look at the image showing the back of the fan, you will see that you can bring the cable into the fan via either of two locations - also there is a semi-circle which can be pushed out for cable access. Here is a link you can follow: https://www.electricalworld.com/en/Silavent-4-Axial-Extractor-Bathroom-Wall-Ceiling-Fan-Backdraught-Shutter-and-Timer/m-1509.aspx - thank you for your enquiry.
