Is this product suitable for sealing my skimmer unit / filter unit to my hot tub?
Also how long does it take to cure hard?
Thank you.
Electrical World Replies:
|
Hello, thanks for your question. We have customers who have sucessfully used this to seal in filter units into goldfish tanks, hot tubs etc. It depends on a number of factors such as what way the filter is designed and how much of a gap you are trying to seal and what type of material you are trying to seal to. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer and asking them what product they recommend - if they suggest a Multi-Purpose Adhesive Bond Sealant then CT1 is one of the best products in the market and you can use it confidently.

I was wondering if CT1 can be used in place of redgard waterproofing just for extra protection. If so will I be able to hang 1/4 inch cement panels with the CT1.
Electrical World Replies:
|
Hello Rob, CT1 can be used for waterproofing but it does depend on the application. If you send over more details we can help recommended in this regard. For installing cement panels, again if you can send more details - usually the following product is recommended for binding two materials together: https://www.electricalworld.com/en/C-Tec-Power-Grab-n-Bond-Construction-Vertical-Bonding-Industrial-Adhesive/m-2214.aspx - thank you for your enquiry.

Once opened, how long will remaining product be useable
Electrical World Replies:
|
Hello Nick, the shelf life is 18 months and the product should remain usable for that time. This will of course depend on how the product is sealed after use. It comes with a screw cap; if you were to add some PTFE tape to the screw cap it could help enhance this seal and add to the longevity of the sealant. Thank you for your enquiry.
